BAH is a tax-free monthly allowance for service members living off-base. OCONUS service members typically receive OHA (Overseas Housing Allowance) instead β rates vary by pay grade and location. During OCONUS TDY/training (ADT, FTX), BAH is generally paid at the home station rate. Rates update annually.

The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides tuition, housing allowance (MHA), and a books/supplies stipend. Your benefit level depends on time served after 9/10/2001.
